It's a place for tourists, and not just American tourists. I don't think anyone anywhere expects a Hard Rock to have amazing, well-priced food. And that manager's behaviour is typical of ALL customer service in the UK. Sounds like you went out looking to be disappointed and found exactly what you were looking for. You couldn't POSSIBLY have gone to a Hard Rock Cafe in Piccadilly Circus and expected good food, surely. I went ahead to cook Australian steak at home, didn't have any special method. But it was actually rather lovely! And only cost like 3 quid. So I don't understand why the hell British restaurants gave me such poor meals before.
