It was - you'll have to take my word on this - excruciating.Chris Poplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02668565800857295023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588051831069283523.post-49550525791713018292011-09-21T16:54:10.456+00:002011-09-21T16:54:10.456+00:00People in low paid jobs trying their best but gett...People in low paid jobs trying their best but getting it slightly wrong are so irritating aren't they? Also, it wasn't just the service that I had a problem with - the food was largely very boring too.Chris Poplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02668565800857295023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588051831069283523.post-64282143301723514462011-09-20T17:33:41.626+00:002011-09-20T17:33:41.626+00:00There are certainly times when it's frustratin...There are certainly times when it's frustrating to have an overly attentive waiter; but surely for small, independent, neighbourhood restaurants a bit of interaction is important.

While I am inclined to agree with Gregory, perhaps a little intuitive perception wouldn’t have gone a-miss, it’s one thing to appreciate good service and quite another to slam somewhere on the whole because of a one-off.

The whole review is also pretty insulting to service staff in general...Tom Jnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588051831069283523.post-78367326544966240432011-09-20T14:52:53.346+00:002011-09-20T14:52:53.346+00:00Anonymous: Unfortunately I don't have a transc...Anonymous: Unfortunately I don't have a transcript of the exchanges we had that evening. Those ones always get a big tip if they play along... I am sure most people are not like that though, and I always get a chatty waiter when I just want to sit in silence and eat!Katnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588051831069283523.post-46018111846097562022011-09-19T12:49:43.519+00:002011-09-19T12:49:43.519+00:00Anonymous: there are quite a lot of specifics, are...Anonymous: there are quite a lot of specifics, aren't there? If the customers are gazing into the eyes of their companion, only interrupt if absolutely necessary.... like when the meal arrives.

If I wanted to chat to waiters I would go on my own.

GregGregoryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03064991541722003332noreply@blogger.com
