Your reviews are good though , so a great help , for when I do stray away from my favourite. Is there a poor persons Japanese, I guess that's the Ramen Bar. My Korean friends, told me Korea was the start of it all ,art/food and what not, before China/Japan. Again cool review. <br />Speaking of Eels https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29nvYTQJoUwIt's me yet againnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588051831069283523.post-48166047574607378712017-04-06T13:15:04.983+00:002017-04-06T13:15:04.983+00:00That turbot. I've always hankered after trying 'authentic' Japanese cuisine, but have yet to visit the country itself. Not aware of anywhere here in Scotland coming anywhere close to what's on offer at Kikuchi, so may well pay the restaurant a visit when I'm in London again this June. Was interested to read the other day, in Bee Wilson's First Bite, that Japanese cuisine as we know it today only really took shape in the past 100 years or so. Before that, it was very austere and not particularly appetising. As for Japanese food today, I agree there are few things better.John Wrightnoreply@blogger.com
